Reproductive Health Education for Teens
After the opening, the event continued with a presentation on the importance of Teenager reproductive health awareness, understanding puberty, and things to do to handle puberty.
Teens’ reproductive health is a state of physical, mental, and social well-being related to reproductive functions, systems, and processes. It’s important for teens to know about reproductive health so they have the right understanding of it, minimize the risk of sexually transmitted diseases during adolescence, and help teens understand the consequences of their actions, thereby encouraging responsible behavior.
The program’s material also provides information related to puberty in Teenage girls, which is characterized by 1) breast growth, 2) the onset of menstruation, 3) hair growth, and 4) changes in the skin and face. It also covers the condition for Teenage boys, which is characterized by 1) voice changes, 2) wet dreams, and 3) hair growth.
The speaker also emphasized the importance of maintaining reproductive organ hygiene, living a healthy lifestyle such as taking iron supplements for teenage girls, managing emotions, and avoiding risky behaviors such as dating.
By maintaining good hygiene, a healthy lifestyle, managing emotions, and maintaining good relationships, healthy friends can get through this phase with more confidence and be ready to enter adulthood.
“We appreciate the activities organized at this school. Considering that it is necessary to revitalize education on teenage reproductive health in order to avoid behaviors that lead to promiscuity, sexual crimes, and sexual deviance.”
