Work Out/ Excercise Benefits
Based on a literature review of 10 selected case studies, it was found that work outs, especially for the elderly, has various benefits in terms of physical and psychological health. (Literature Review-The Benefits of Exercise for Seniors on Their Quality of Life, 2020).
- Physical Benefits
The physical benefits of work outs include improved physical fitness, body balance, breathing, and lower blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension. - Benefits in Psychology
The psychological benefits of work outs include improved sleep quality, reduced insomnia, reduced depression, and reduced pain management. In addition, work outs also provides social and environmental benefits that will have an impact on reducing stress levels.
Elderly Exercise Day

South Halmahera, May 18, 2025, Cita Sehat held an Work Outs program for elderly people in Panambuang Village, South Halmahera
This program for the elderly is one of Cita Sehat’s initiatives to provide health services that are expected to improve the quality of health for Indonesians of all ages.
In celebration of National Senior Citizens Day (HULN), the community of Panambuang Village, South Halmahera, held a program targeting senior citizens at the Panambuang Village Field. The event was attended by local residents as well as the village head and officials.

The participants were cheerful and excited as they took part in the exercises on National Senior Citizens Day. The event began with participant registration, followed by exercises led by instructor, Mrs. Ade.
After the exercise session ended, participants had the opportunity to receive door prizes provided by the organizers, followed by fruit salad and mineral water for all participants..
The residents who participated were delighted and hoped that these exercise activities could be held regularly at least once a month, and they expressed their deepest gratitude to Cita Sehat for organizing today’s exercise activities.
